Just two people going to the same place, LEAVING from the same place.

Martha and Eyre were always like two ships passing in the night; always around the same people, but never really interacting. After both being invited to Eyre's sister Margot's bachelorette party in Key West, a friendship quickly blossomed. With a shared love of the unusual, the lowbrow, and Legos, things quickly escalated. Whether it was stories of made up places on hikes, or a good coffee and a trip to the arcade, this friendship was starting to feel like more than just a friendship.

The summer of 2023 ultimately brought the two together over a need to medicate Eyre's ill kitten Grumby, a procedure that had to happen daily (also a good excuse to spend frequent evenings together). After a little trauma bonding, life quickly became routine. A couple of trips to Europe, many strolls through Quakertown farmers market, some cozy Pocono vacations getting snowed in, and many dinner and movie dates, things were getting serious.

On the most recent Pocono vacation this past January of 2026, after returning to our villa from a morning trip to the Frazetta museum, a brand new Lego set, The Italian Rivera, was mysteriously on our kitchen table. Martha could not fathom how this got there, but Eyre urged her to open it anyway. After dumping all the bags of Legos out, a little orange box also happened to be inside. Eyre promptly took the box and got down on one knee, to which Martha said yes!
